On 6 June 2009, hundreds of people will taking off their shoes to walk barefooted in a 7km route at Sentosa to show their love for the children in many 3rd world countries that do not have shoes to walk in.

Yesterday's wind at PA was just wow =)

Late night chats with the supper gang brought some back unexpected results on my own thoughts. Now I'm experiencing cognitive dissonance. arghh...

All along I always thought I have found my meaning in life - to write and publish a book, till today when I was proven wrong.

I have been reflecting about the purpose of my existence, and these thoughts have constantly built on each other to achieve what it is today. Just when I thought I have found it, it turns out that everything is just a false reality.

"What if writing is not your purpose in life, but rather a goal? You think that it is meaning because it is something that you might not achieve in the end, it's an abstract concept. For example, you think that the book you write is going to be the purpose, it might take you a lifetime to write it. However, if you can write it in 2 years, what is going to happen after that?"

Come to think of it, it is indeed true. The purpose that I seek should well be beyond just superficial goals. So what is it about writing that I seek? How should writing become a purpose of my life?

I guess its time for me to reflect and get a clearer picture.

WORLD WATER DAY

It's time to celebrate the very presence of clean water that keeps us alive all this while =)

Today's first session for Project Excellence is just fantastic. The whole programme went very smoothly and the students are very well-behaved and cooperative. I sure learnt a lot about managing primary school kids after this meeting. The mentoring is supposed to be on saturday, but apparently there is this press briefing in SSC @ BP. I don't really know why it is changed to today because we are not involved in it.

But nevertheless, we did a Bingo game for warm-up, followed by rehearsal of previous learnt material, followed by a presentation at the end. I'm extremely surprised by the P5 syllabus. Its super hard =( No wonder the students nowadays are so burdened by schoolwork. I shall end here now .

Looking forward to next saturday's session with the P4.

Pretty boring week. There wasn't much happenings around school that make me want to participate. I guess it was because everyone is busy mugging. It's time to get serious with work.

So in the end, other than yesterday's supper with jeremy, weelun, penghui, huimin and esther (the newly revamped supper gang), there is nothing much to blog about. These guys keep trying to dig secrets out from me, and the easily-drunk penghui talked too much.

And huimin is seriously too free to go visit my fb photos. It reminded me of xia's comment also. Apparently that particular photo is so famous now. haha

It was a great nite out and I'm definitely looking forward to more food hunts next next fri. (Next fri is odac overnight cycling)

Project excellence is starting this sunday! So looking forward to a brand new experience with volunteering. Surfing's is up too =)

I finally had the time to go collect back my laptop today. Been spending way too much time studying and doing assignment that I didn't have time to collect this long overdue equipment. Now that its back, I can write my essays anywhere, anytime.

Too bad I already finished all the essays I'm supposed to write. Never mind, at least I can still work on my "If only I knew" and "Cupid's Dilemma".

*Prays hard that I have the strength to finish what I started.

The hectic week is almost over!

I'm so glad that there's no more psy essay assignments for the rest of the term =)

while there's some free time, I better go start writing on my new book.

Despite receiving help from so many people, I still think I screwed up the stats exam. Why didn't I spot the MSe for the question? 12 marks gone just like that. arghh...

But I shall not care about that now. After barely finishing cognitive essay last friday, development essay is due this coming monday. I better stop procrastinating and try to force a 2000 word essay soon :(

Of course that's not the end, the killer 50% cognitive mid-term test and the 2 Reporting Statistics project (both on 25 march) is up next. And of course, development mid terms when all these stuff is over.

Oh man, I wish this semester will come to an end soon. Can't wait for the holidays.

I realised I haven't been posting on the gathering I attended for quite some time. After all, this blog is to record down all the things that I have done.

Met up with the almost full house mixedrice yesterday (finally I got to see yilin after a year absence). Like all the outings, its all about FOOD! haha. We went to sakae at west mall for lunch and had our usual chats over coffee after that.

The higlight of the day was during the movie WATCHMEN. Totally laughed our way throughout the entire show. Perhaps it is because we don't understand any single part of their dialogue or we were too obsessed with Dr Manhattan's almost perfect "hot body". We ended up talking about him all the way till 2am yesterday and I'm still laughing whenever I think of it.

But I do enjoyed meeting up with mixedrice :)

It’s really amazing when two strangers become the best of friends, but it is really sad when the best of friends, become two strangers.

I will learn to cherish everyone around me.

Recess week is coming to an end. Arghh... which means the deadlines for assignments are approaching too :(

And the thing I find unbelieveable is that other than the zoo trip on thursday, I've actually spent the entire week just staying in school to mug.

That's just so unlike me. Aren't recess week supposed to be a break?
